Original 1977 black-and-white photograph of Joey Ramone and writer Victor Bockris, taken (and signed at the foot of the photograph) by Marcia Resnick. Joey is wearing the classic CBGB’s t-shirt. The photograph measures 8″ x 10″ and is in great condition. In Resnick’s handwriting, it also identifies “Kathy + leslie (not-seen)”. At the rear of the photo is written “Crop/Reduce” and “Joey Ramone”. Victor Bockris of course is a highly-influential biographer and chronicler of the music and downtown scenes, having written important biographies of Andy Warhol, Patti Smith, Lou Reed, William Burroughs, Blondie and Terry Southern — and he helped to write John Cale’s autobiography.
