Quite gruesome but historically significant snapshot of an autopsy of a Japanese soldier, taken in 1942, in a morgue in the Aleutian Islands. It was the only military campaign of World War II fought on North American soil. The Japanese landed and occupied the islands of Kiska and Atu. The land was retaken by American troops in 1943 via two campaigns: Operation Landcrab and Operation Cottage. Image is 5.5inches Wide x 4.25inches Tall.
