From an estate, this is a set of 37 black and white photographs. 34 are of Yosemite, one of Trukee, and two unknown (pencil labelled “Mother”). All are hand signed, initialed maybe? Stamped and have hand-written as well as stamped titles, dated, signed E. All were taken in 1919. The purple stamp on the back leads me to believe that this was a set available for sale to tourists? Or taken for a specific project? One picture depicts 3 people, one of which was an important US Navy Commander who turned up on a Google search. I don’t know who the photographer was, but it appears that’s him in the overhang rock photo. I have reached out to the Yosemite library, and they are working on determining the photographer. No reply yet, although I did talk to the librarian (Virginia) who is currently working on finding the photographer. All are 4.5 by 3 inches. This is a very cool antique set.
