Note: Watermark does not appear on actual photo. Up for sale is a 4.5″ X 6.25″ 1920’s photo of an Australian Native with skin mutations. The mutations are described in the LOA as being similar to branding and while there is a lengthy hand written description on the reverse, it was rather difficult to completely make out due to the handwriting style and the rubber-stamping. I was however able to make out the fact that one purpose of the markings was to attract a wife. The note stating: “The young man shows his arms and back to his intended mother-in-law if she is satisfied they are well harmoniously(not sure of this word) done then negotiations for the marriage with her daughter are arranged”. Please excuse any shadows appearing in the photos. I can provide additional photos or scans upon request. Please view all photos including the description contained in the Letter of Authenticity as it forms the basis of information regarding this photo.
