Vintage Black and White Photographs by Bernard Kobel. If you collect Palisades Park ephemera, this may be one of the rarest sets of photos you’ll ever find. What a great group of photos this is!! Back in 1940, there was a WOMEN’S HAIR PULLING CONTEST at Palisades Park, NJ. These fab photos document that wild and crazy event. This is the only set of these images I could find anywhere online. These photos measure 5″ x 7″. Single weight paper, good condition with creases and wrinkles throughout, and original notes on reverse describing and/or identifying them. Despite the wear, these photos all look very nice and I believe it would be impossible to find another group of images documenting this crazy contest! The red “mlr222″ appears only on my scans.
