Description : This is an unusual item: an original photogravure plate from Eadweard Muybridge’s Animal Locomotion, plate number 59, showing a man running, as seen from the side and from the front. It is printed on very thin paper and laid down on the back of the Muybridge print. The image is of the remains of a Roman temple at Hauran, in what was then “East Jordan”, now modern-day Jordan or Syria. Size : Sheet is 23.75″ X 18.675″. Muybridge image is 14″ X 8.675″.
