The kid on the horse is my father who was born in 1926 in Montgomery, AL. He is estimated at 6-years old in this photo. His mother, my grandmother, obviously though enough of its’cute’ factor to have it enlarged. Fast-forward to 1967, Christmas. I was probably 6 years old, had not started the first-grade yet, and remember vividly coveting the red and black cowboy outfit. When on Christmas morning I was first up, donned the gear, and proudly entered my parents’ bedroom to show it off. I couldn’t believe that they showed so little interest at the moment. They preferred to get some more sleep. Obviously, my mother thought enough it to have it enlarged and one is color, the other black-and-white. I’m hanging the price I’m hanging on these not because my father or I are collectible. But it is an interesting collection.
