Up for sale is this nice antique tooled leather Victorian photo album. The album is full as found with a total of 30 photos. 7 of the photos are tintypes and 23 are cdvs. One of the cdvs is an illustrated album filler card and another one is a photo of a column. The rest of the photos are typical mid 19th century portraits. I only pulled out a few of the photos that were easy to remove to examine them out of the album. They were from Philadelphia, Michigan, New York, and Ohio. A couple had been trimmed, so it is likely that a few more of the unexamined photos are trimmed as well. The album is overall in good condition with some typical signs of wear and age. The tooled leather covers only have some mild scuffing and wear. The binding clasp is present and in working order. There is some age discoloration to the endpapers and some mild foxing, soiling & grubbiness to the pages. A few of the pages have some tears. The page edges are gold gilt. The album measures approximately 6 1/8 inches by 4 3/4 inches. It dates to sometime around the 1860’s. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
