I’m not shy to say that many photographers have. Which has also changed over the years. And Weston to name just a few…. What a great time to have been. For many years I’ve been saying I need to start going through my contact sheets and negatives and start printing up my photography. Photographers like Brett Weston encouraged me back in the 80’s, Ryuijie in the 90’s and just a few years ago Tom Millea laying in his hospital bed just months before his passing, said…. The following is just a portion of my bio that can be found on my website……… Russell Levin, born and raised in California, became involved in photography at a very early age. Learning photography from his father, he developed and printed his first roll of film by the age of ten. His education was furthered when at the age of 14 he spent a year in Mexico with his father in 1968/69. His father was a guest teacher at the Art Institute in San Miguel de Allende. Russell spent time photographing the bullfights, and quickly developed a passion for photographing people and action images. In high school Russell worked for the school newspaper/yearbook in addition to shooting sports for the local newspaper. Within a short time, Russell was receiving assignments from the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Jose Mercury. Before turning twenty, he had over 1000 photographs published in newspapers throughout the state…… Read the complete bio is on my website.
