Historic Images for more great items! Here is your chance to add to your collection of New Mexico ghost town photography. All of these mentioned towns are gone and left to oblivion. Many, many cool images in this archive including some duplicates. Several also have either in picture captions or inscriptions on reverse. This is a great project for the true historian to sift through the images, find the clues, and assemble a view of what Dawson or Black Hawk, New Mexico, looked like over 100 years ago. There were very few views of rocks and trees, less than a dozen, so the rest are different scenes during the construction and operation of the cola mining towns of Dawson and Black Hawk. The four photos with the location captions looks like a primitive snapshot panoramic of Black Hawk, New Mexico, possibly. Those in the know or with access to other images for comparison with be able to identify which buildings in which locations. Please feel free to ask questions.
