This is a vintage signed print Under the 3. Webb was a contemporary of Harry Callahan and had a longtime friendship with Alfred Stieglitz and Georgia OKeefe, who he photographed extensively. In 1955 and again in 1956, Webb was awarded two successive John Simon Guggenheim fellowships to photograph the pioneer trails that early America settlers followed to Oregon and California. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is included in numerous museum collections such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Minneapolis Art Institute, and the Chicago Art Institute. Print size is 6 ΒΌ x 8 3/8. Mounted on 14 x 11 board. The mounted board is then hinge mounted to a 16″x20″ mat. Signed in pencil at lower right and stamped and signed on back. Condition: For a vintage print, overall, the condition is good. However, there are a number of pitting marks on the surface, mostly on the top half of the print and some faint scratches to the emulsion. Some crazing at lower left corner area.
