An interesting WWII-era photo album compiled by a soldier named Roy Gifford of Ohio. The rear cover of the album is separated from its binding hinge. The front cover is still attached though its brown vinyl covering is completely gone and it just presents as a plain, thick section of cardboard. The photos are typically very well preserved. We’ve done intense ancestral and archived newspaper research on the names found here and we can’t find anything like an obituary, residential records, etc… Linking or identifying the two of them as a couple. And, the series of images (within the first two pages shown here) showing the two of them swapping clothes certainly is unusual. About 150 original photographs, the majority identified in white album pen. Many scans here and below is a link to more. Thanks for looking and please send along any questions.
