From the estate of a strong independent woman from Detroit who lived a VERY full life comes this amazing album that contains approx. My grandmother was her co-worker/close friend who detailed Margarets life to me prior to both of their deaths. I met this grand woman when I was a child only a few times and later in her life when I would have loved to connect and hear the incredible stories that my Grandma conveyed, she had become somewhat of a recluse who did not care the company of visitors or anyone other than her dogs, for that matter! There are approx 25+ photos that feature dogs, cats, etc… Her love for dogs always made me smile. They always had’people’ names; Jeffrey I and II, Deborah, Rob, etc… Born in the mid 1920s, the tale of Margarets life takes us from childhood adventures, days at her. Detroit high school and later, Wayne State College (now university) adventures. Time spent with her mother who was quite a grandiose and menacing character! , all of her Dogs that she loved dearly throughout her life, her numerous pals & lovers (she never married but rather preferred life on her own), multiple trips with girlfriends (road trips throughout the states). Her entry into the workforce with lots of coworker relationships. She had no children of her own but lots of children of friends are throughout the album as well. With all this said. I will bet that you can see what a special album this is. The photos are inside of a beautiful leather/suede album that she got in Traverse City, Michigan as a teen. Almost all of the pages are full however there are some missing photos. That were removed to fallout with friends, etc Which really adds to the story, I think. The photos are all sorts of sizes , some have been trimmed, some are full, some are removable, a lot are set on the page with scrapbook adhesive/glue, there are multiple Christmas photo cards from a close friends family, souvenir photos , great European photos from France, Italy, Holland and more. I love the leaning tower of Pisa photo! As mentioned above, album is not completely full but still does have approx. The condition of the actual album is very good with its beautiful hand painted Native American Chief. The only issue is the suede tie is broken and it could be easily repaired with replacement cord. All pieces are there to attach it and I did not even notice this until photographing the book. If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to ask.
