This is a single large format (4″ x 5″) black and white photographic negative. This image is from a semi-professional photographer working from the early 1940s to the early 1960s in Denver, CO. His subjects were almost exclusively young men. He served in the US Army Air Force and many of his images are of fellow servicemen. The image is a casual shot likely taken in Los Angeles, California in early 1942. There is a catalog for Pico Furniture on Pico Blvd (Los Angeles), the Life magazine on the desk is dated Dec 1, 1941 with a cover story on the B-17 bomber and the Time magazine is the “Man of the Year” issue from Jan 5, 1942. This is a unique image from this photographer and the only one I have for this model.
