This historical an rare photo is of the 5th Marine Regiment after their return from WW1 at the U. Capital Building on August 12th 1919. The detail is amazing and all of the Marines are wearing helmets except a few in the front row. The frame is very old, but I can’t say if it is the original. It could very well be. The frame does have a few chips in it and some discoloration. The photo is almost a 100 years old, so it does show signs of aging. There are a couple of what looks like water spots on the right side of the photo, but they do not effect the picture. Also, there are some picture flakes at the bottom of the photo and one on the right side of the Capital Building. However, they do not effect any of the Marines in the photo. There are also signs of fading do to age. Overall, this photo is still in very good condition. As a Marine myself, I have collected many of these yardlong photos over the years, but I have never seen another like it framed. Measures 43 1/2″ wide x 9 3/4″ high. This is an awesome piece!
