Modernist, Framed Connie Imboden Photograph Description and Item Information Up for sale is this fascinating photograph by the well-known American photographer, Connie Imboden. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This artistic, black and white photograph depicts a somewhat distorted face; the overall feeling is rather dark and mysterious. The photograph is matted and framed under glass. This has a simple, modern, black metal frame. The sight area within the mat is approximately 18 1/4 inches by 12 1/8 inches (the photo is a bit larger; its margins are covered by the mat). The exterior frame dimensions are approximately 25 7/16 inches by 19 5/16 inches. Unpacked, this item weighs approximately 5 pounds 15 ounces. It would make a fantastic addition to a collection of photographic art. Identification This circa 1991 photograph is by Connie Imboden (1953 -). It is numbered 7/25. Please see Photo 4 for the markings that it has on its margin, beneath the mat (I examined the print outside of its frame to find these markings). This photograph is believed to be a gelatin silver print. Per her Wikipedia page, Imboden is an American photographer who is best known for her photographs of figures in reflections in water and mirrors. Her work is represented in many permanent collections including The Museum of Modern Art in New York, The Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris, the Ludwig Museum in Cologne, Germany, as well as other public and private collections around the world. Condition This photograph looks great overall. I examined the print outside of the frame and found no condition issues. The frame has very light wear.
