Rare vintage photograph of the first dinosaur reconstructed ever, 1885 This was done by Professor Dollo, the one of the Dollo law, in the St George also named Nassau chapel in Brussels. A herd of Iguanodons had been discovered in a coal mine in Bernissart (15 miles of my home) in 1878. After excavation the rebuilding in Brussels lasted from 1882 to 1885. If you look at professor Louis Dollo on Wikipedia you will see an engraving showing the skeleton in this particular vault architecture.
